Medical virtual reality (VR) technology developer Surgical Theater will showcase a virtual reality surgical visualization platform for neurosurgery at the Nvidia GPU Technology Conference in Silicon Valley on Wednesday.
Surgical Theater's platform combines jet flight simulation technology with patient imaging studies such as MRI and CT scans to create a VR reconstruction of patient anatomy, enabling multiple levels of interaction. Users can swipe their fingers across a touchscreen or wear a VR headset to navigate reconstructions in real-time, Surgical Theater said.
