3D visualization firm Synaptive Medical has won a contract to supply its BrightMatter brain surgery system to the Inova Neuroscience Institute of Falls Church, VA.
BrightMatter integrates preoperative imaging, surgical planning, operative navigation, and robotic visualization. It allows surgeons to see a patient's unique fiber tracts in real-time, and generates a detailed image of the surgical field with its robotic camera system, the company said.
