Qmetrics Technologies has launched a new 3D segmentation and modeling service for physicians, educators, and academic and industry researchers.
The service can help physicians visualize injury or disease, build models for tissue engineering or prosthesis design, and help students visualize or print clinical cases.
The company will take standard anatomical images from CT, MRI, and PET in a DICOM format and return to the client a 3D segmented stereolithography (STL) file ready for printing, Qmetrics said.
