Perception Lab to return to RSNA for 3rd year

An ongoing experiment that uses radiologists as test subjects for research into the doors of perception will return to the RSNA annual meeting for the third straight year.

The RSNA Perception Lab gives researchers the chance to perform studies on RSNA attendees in a dedicated area of Lakeside Center. Experiments are short, running about 30 minutes, and at RSNA 2017 there were 14 labs testing more than 200 radiologists.

Research groups interesting in running a lab at RSNA 2018 should apply by August 1 by emailing organizer Jeremy Wolfe, PhD, of Harvard Medical School, or Jennifer Trueblood, PhD, of Vanderbilt University.

The lab in the past has been supported by the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI); the organizers hope to secure additional NCI funding to also run a lab at the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) annual meeting, October 3-5.
