EchoPixel unveiled software that provides naked-eye, touchless interactive 3D anatomical imaging to support structural heart procedures at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) 2019 meeting in San Francisco.
This software is featured as part of EchoPixel's existing mixed-reality products that assist cardiologists and surgeons in visualizing live 3D medical images during procedures. The suite of software aims to provide more precise catheter and device placements as well as improved surgical planning.
Additionally, the company is working on a research study comparing procedure times with and without the technology in the hopes of showing reductions in procedure times and device waste.
