Medical imaging software developer Medis Medical Imaging Systems has acquired Advanced Medical Imaging Development (AMID), a cardiac and cardiovascular imaging software developer based in Italy.
The purchase will expand Medis Medical's reach in the cardiovascular market and strengthen its existing portfolio of postprocessing software for x-ray, MR, CT, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and ultrasound, according to the firm.
