3D printing software developer Materialise debuted its new virtual reality (VR) Mimics VR Viewer at the RSNA 2020 meeting.
The Mimics Viewer provides clinicians with a complement to 3D-printed anatomical models that acts as a fast and low-cost interactive model. Materialise said its viewer is the first to remove tethering restrictions to ensure compatibility across multiple VR devices, which means multiple viewers can access the virtual environment remotely without a physical lab space dedicated to VR technology.
The Mimics Viewer requires no extra software installation and users will be able to access cases directly in a secure browser environment, Materialise said.
