Artificial intelligence (AI) and 3D printing will be among the featured topics at RSNA 2021 in Chicago.
In an Imaging AI in Practice interactive exhibit, 22 vendors will demonstrate AI technologies and the integration standards needed to embed AI into the diagnostic radiology workflow in real-world scenarios such as ischemic stroke and lung nodules, according to the society. Featuring 32 different products, the interactive exhibit will showcase the use of AI and health IT standards throughout the radiology workflow, including ordering and scheduling of imaging exams, acquisition protocoling, image interpretation with AI clinical decision support at the point of care, reporting, and integration with the electronic health record (EHR), the RSNA said.
Attendees to the interactive exhibit will be able to learn what is possible, identify the right questions to ask, and learn how to introduce and scale AI into their radiology practices, according to the RSNA.
In addition, the RSNA will be hosting a 3D printing symposium on November 27 from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at McCormick Place. Designed to help attendees to develop and maintain a point-of-care 3D printing lab, the symposium will cover topics such as how to start a lab, as well as navigating the regulatory considerations for 3D printing in hospitals, according to the organization. It will also discuss the 3D printing registry and the role it plays in quality improvement and reimbursement.
