Dallas-based spectral imaging device developer Spectral AI posted increased research and development revenue in its second quarter.
The company's revenue for the quarter (end-June 30) was $7.5 million compared with $4.3 million for the period last year. It did sustain a net loss for the second quarter, although the loss was less compared to 2023, at $2.8 million versus $3.1 million.
Spectral AI's revenue for the six-month period was $13.8 million, compared with $9.3 million in 2023. Net loss for the first six months was relatively flat, at $6.1 million this year compared with $6.7 million last year.
