Image management firm Emageon has inked a deal with Orthocrat of Houston to distribute TraumaCad, Orthocrat's orthopedic surgical planning applications.
Emageon will integrate TraumaCad into its Enterprise Visual Medical System, which can be used with knee, hip, shoulder, foot, trauma, and pediatric orthopedic procedures. Emageon plans to offer TraumaCad to its customer base of more than 600 hospitals.
TraumaCad is a thin-client DICOM application that can be incorporated into PACS and network architecture, and is already installed in 160 sites around the world, according to Birmingham, AL-based Emageon.
