Radiation therapy firm Varian Medical Systems said that clinicians at the Emory University School of Medicine found that its On-Board Imager image-guided radiation therapy device efficiently improved tumor targeting.
The Emory research team measured the time required to deliver image-guided treatments and found that the process can be efficiently integrated into the department's normal clinical workflow, according to the Palo Alto, CA-based vendor. The research was published recently in the Journal of American College of Radiology.
