Elekta to debut Axesse

Swedish radiation therapy firm Elekta said it will unveil the latest product in its image-guided stereotactic radiosurgery line, the Elekta Axesse, at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) conference this week in San Francisco.

Axesse is a 6D robotic image-guided radiosurgery system optimized for treatment of the spine, according to Elekta of Stockholm. In addition, the device uses the firm's stereotactic technology and true 3D imaging, the company said.
