Image-guided interventional surgery firm Stereotaxis of St. Louis reports that has achieved several milestones in the use of its magnetic navigation technology.
The company's systems have been used in more than 6,000 clinical cases, including more than 4,000 electrophysiology procedures (principally ablation) and more than 2,000 guidewire navigation procedures for interventional cardiology and cardiac resynchronization therapy lead placement.
Stereotaxis also reported that more than 100 orders for its Niobe systems have been received since the product release.
