Medical video imaging firm Karl Storz Endoscopy-America has completed the digital integration of two operating rooms with intraoperative MRI (iMRI) capabilities in the U.S.
The Culver City, CA-based firm said that Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, TX, and Swedish Medical Center in Seattle have deployed its OR1 all-digital video application for PACS, vital signs, endoscope, and microscope images with iMRI technology in neurosurgery suites. Both facilities use fiber-optic technology to avoid interference with the MRI magnet, according to Karl Storz.
