Focused-ultrasound developer InSightec of Haifa, Israel, announced it has received financing totaling $30 million, which will be used for research and development, marketing and sales, and general corporate purposes.
InsSightec plans to develop several oncology applications for its ExAblate 2000 MR-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) system. The system has already received the European CE Mark for pain palliation of bone metastases, according to the company.
