Interventional technology firm Medtronic of Minneapolis has installed its intraoperative PoleStar surgical MRI system at the Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
PoleStar is a compact intraoperative MRI and navigation system designed to provide surgeons with real-time images before, during, and after neurosurgical procedures.
The installation was funded through the QEII Foundation and other donors.
