Revolutions acquires rights to breast biopsy system

MRI software developer Revolutions Medical of Mount Pleasant, SC, has acquired an exclusive worldwide license for an image-guided navigation system for breast biopsy localization.

The company's agreement with Strategic Product Development gives Revolutions access to a system that incorporates high-accuracy breast biopsy devices with conventional mammography units. The system has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance.

Revolutions will combine its Rev Vac safety syringe with the biopsy device technology, the company said.
