Changes in product mix, as well as fewer installations and higher operating costs, hit both revenue and profits for image-guided therapy developer IMRIS during the most recent quarter (end-June 30) and the first half of the year, the company said.
Revenues slid to $17.2 million in the most recent quarter, down 9% compared with $18.9 million in the second quarter of 2011. Similarly, revenues during the first six months of the year were $20.7 million, down 31% compared with $29.9 million in the first half of 2011.
Meanwhile, the company's net loss was $4.3 million in the second quarter, compared with a loss of $2.9 million in the same period of 2011. During the first half of the year the firm's net loss was $12.6 million, compared with $7.5 million in the first half of 2011, IMRIS said.
