FDA clears IMRIS' Visius surgical theater

Image-guided therapy developer IMRIS has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for the newest generation of its Visius surgical theater.

The surgical theater integrates Siemens Healthcare's Aera 1.5-tesla and Skyra 3-tesla MRI scanners, IMRIS said.

The first installation will be a four-room hybrid operating room suite at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
