Surgical visualization technology developer Mazor Robotics has booked orders for two Renaissance surgical guidance systems in China and one in Taiwan.
In the first sale since the company received China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) approval in September to market Renaissance, Mazor's China distribution partner, Cicel, has ordered two systems, according to the vendor.
In addition, Pinnaclemed, Mazor's Taiwan distribution partner, has submitted a purchase order for one Renaissance system. Subject to certain closing conditions, this system is expected to be placed at a newly opened spine hospital in Taiwan, according to Mazor. It would be the third Renaissance system operating in Taiwan.
