Siemens Healthineers and spine health firm NuVasive have entered into a partnership to develop and market integrated 3D imaging, navigation, and surgical automation technology for spine surgery.
The agreement, which the companies call the Spine Precision Partnership, will combine NuVasive's Pulse surgical automation platform with Siemens' mobile C-arm 3D fluoroscopy unit, Cios Spin. Cios Spin is currently pending clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Siemens said.
