7D Surgical has completed a round of financing, the company's largest fundraising to date, according to the Toronto firm.
7D said it planned to use the investment to accelerate the development of new machine-vision products, while also funding its global expansion. The investment comes after the technology's commercialization in the U.S. and a recent launch into Southeast Asia.
7D has developed its Flash navigation system, which the company compares to GPS navigation in self-driving vehicles, to create visible-light 3D images that are used with machine-vision algorithms for surgical navigation in spinal and cranial procedures.
The company did not reveal the amount of the financing.
