
Image-guided therapy firm Brainlab announced that its Loop-X mobile imaging robot and Cirq robotic alignment module for spinal surgeries have been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Munich-based Brainlab said that Loop-X, which is controlled wirelessly using a touchscreen tablet, may be used with its digital surgery portfolio or with a customer's existing surgical setup. The unit was developed with medical robotics solutions company medPhoton, of Salzburg, Austria.
