3-D software developer Voxar has released version 2.1 of its Calscreen calcium-scoring software. Calscreen 2.1 provides multiplanar reformatted (MPR) and 3-D views of the heart, with calcifications marked and color-coded, according to the Edinburgh, Scotland-based vendor.
The software, which runs on standard PC hardware, includes the same user interface deployed on the vendor's Plug n View 3D software. A detailed patient report is created, along with captured MPR and 3-D images and optional percentile ranking information, Voxar said. Reports can be saved, printed, or e-mailed to referring clinicians, according to the firm.
