Three-dimensional-software developer Vital Images reported revenue for its third quarter of $5.6 million, up 54% from $3.6 million in the third quarter of 2001. The Plymouth, MN-based company reported net income of $419,000 for the quarter (end-September 30), compared to a net loss of $131,000 in the third quarter of 2001.
For the first three quarters of 2002, revenue increased to $14.9 million from $10.6 million for the same period of 2001, a gain of 40%. The net income for 2002 rose to $373,000 compared with a net loss of $1.2 million for the same period of the prior year.
