RIS and PACS developer NovaRad of American Fork, UT, has released NovaPACS 6.6 with embedded maximum intensity projection (MIP) and multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) tools to build and view 3D images directly from the PACS workstation.
The MIP and MPR tools are designed to eliminate the need to perform postprocessing reconstructions from modalities and the need to redo reconstructions specified by the radiologists.
