Emageon partners with Allscripts, Vital Images

Image management firm Emageon has unveiled two new partnerships.

The Birmingham, AL, company will offer Chicago-based Allscripts' TouchWorks electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) products to healthcare system and hospital customers. Emageon also will provide implementation and first-level support for the combined Allscripts EHR and PM products.

In addition, Emageon will offer Minnetonka-MN-based Vital Images' Vitrea software as an option for advanced clinical applications for visualization and integrated analysis tools that complement Emageon's enterprise native visualization and workflow capabilities.
