Healthcare information and imaging application developer Merge Healthcare has begun commercial shipments of a PET/CT workstation software product.
The Milwaukee-based firm said Merge PET/CT Workstation is a vendor-neutral product and incorporates reading tools such as 3D volume rendering and hot-spot scout, as well as tools such as standardized uptake value (SUV) calculations and configurable color maps.
Image layouts can be split across dual monitors in panoramic mode, which allows for simultaneous review of CT, PET corrected, PET uncorrected, PET/CT fused, and maximum intensity projection (MIP) images, Merge said. A rigid registration capability between images allows simultaneous navigation through all datasets, and DICOM connectivity to PACS applications permits image receiving and storage, according to Merge.
