(Booth 6520) Advanced visualization developer Vital Images of Minnetonka, MN, will tout the next generation of its enterprise-wide software suite, which includes the company's Vitrea 4.0 and ViTALConnect 4.1 applications.
Vitrea 4.0 also includes enhancements for colon imaging, such as fly-through capabilities, polyp probe, and automatic registration of prone and supine views. The company has also added computer-aided detection (CAD) capabilities for colon imaging, based on the ColonCAD software from Medicsight of London. Colon CAD functionality is available in Europe and will become available in the U.S. following the receipt of U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance.
The company's ViTALConnect 4.1 release features Web-client enhancements including new cardiovascular tools, such as automatic segmentation of the coronary tree, centerline editing, and automatic stenosis calculation. The company has also made improvements to 2D performance, and has added an integrated reporting feature.
Finally, Vital Images will show a new planning application for electrophysiology studies, ViTAL EP. The software automatically segments out pulmonary veins and creates a 3D anatomic model of the heart for superimposed EP mapping. ViTAL EP automatically exports a 3D model for display on the St. Jude Medical EnSite system, which is used to facilitate therapy for the treatment of arrhythmias.
