Viatronix

(Booth 3303) Viatronix of Stony Brook, NY, will show enhancements to its flagship V3D-Colon software for virtual colonoscopy studies. The company will also update visitors to its RSNA booth on the status of its project to deliver a V3D module for cardiac imaging.

For V3D-Colon, new enhancements include the ability to load any two colon image series for review and comparison; views of dissected colon segments without distortion or flattening; a colon computer-aided detection (CAD) interface that integrates CAD without a change in workflow (currently available only in Europe and Canada); automatic measurement of maximum diameter/volume of polyps with morphology analysis (available in Europe); new translucent view color schemes that can be edited by users; and creation of reports compliant with CT Colonography Reporting and Data System (C-RADS) guidelines.

Viatronix's heart imaging software is called V3D-Cardiac, and Viatronix believes it will begin shipping the module at the end of 2007, after receiving 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The software includes automated tools to optimize workflow and analyze images efficiently, and includes cardiac functional analysis applications.

Viatronix said it plans to develop other organ-specific advanced visualization modules in the future.
