Image enhancement developer ContextVision will unveil its US PlusView ultrasound image enhancement software at this week's American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) meeting in New York City.
Designed to accommodate technically difficult patients, US PlusView allows OEMs to provide a full range of ultrasound image enhancement capabilities, including deeper penetration and improved speckle reduction features, according to ContextVision.
The US PlusView family includes a modular and upgradeable series of products. In addition to US PlusView, US PlusViewADV (advanced) adds an adaptive temporal filter with advanced motion compensation for stronger speckle reduction and greater margin continuity without temporal blurring, ContextVision said.
The next level, US PlusViewPRE (premium), adds a directed, focused enhancement (DFE) module, which allows users to highlight specific anatomical features for additional visualization without affecting overall image quality, the company said.
US PlusView can be integrated into newly manufactured ultrasound systems and runs on a standard CPU, the company said. The software is currently in beta testing, with production systems slated to be available in June.
