Advanced visualization firm TeraRecon is unveiling key interoperability and informatics workflow integration enhancements to its iNtuition Cloud service at this week's RSNA 2011 meeting in Chicago.
Modifications to TeraRecon's AquariusGate DICOM router will enable the automatic relay of DICOM data to iNtuition Cloud, with encryption and automatic anonymization when required. Such data can then be processed interactively in real-time with any iNtuition tool delivered via a Web browser from the cloud, according to the company.
Results can be relayed back to the originating site or other designations using TeraRecon's secure sockets layer (SSL) reverse upload technology. It allows encrypted tunneling back from the cloud to an in-house TeraRecon service that decodes the data and relays them via DICOM to the user's PACS or other in-house informatics system.
Other upgrades include front-end integration support with iNtuition Cloud Launcher technology, which enables the launch of an iNtuitionCloud session in a browser without the iNtuition Client software installed on the PACS workstation.
