Advanced visualization technology provider TeraRecon of San Mateo, CA, and image analysis software developer Medicsight of London have signed a nonexclusive partnership agreement to incorporate Medicsight's ColonCAD and LungCAD image analysis tools with TeraRecon's medical imaging products.
The agreement allows current and new users of TeraRecon's Aquarius family of medical imaging products to add Medicsight's ColonCAD and LungCAD image analysis software tools. TeraRecon is developing a standalone image processing server to work in concert with existing PACS and DICOM review equipment, which will include lung and colon cancer detection software, the company said.
The combined TeraRecon/Medicsight imaging system is expected to reach the market in late 2005 or early 2006, and will be debuted at this year's RSNA conference in Chicago, according to the companies.
