If you enjoy learning about computer-aided detection (CAD) research, Chicago's McCormick Place was the place to be last week. Attendees of the 2005 RSNA meeting were presented with approximately 130 scientific papers related to CAD at the show.
In our initial coverage from the meeting, we report on breast MRI CAD research from the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. A UW research team found that the use of CAD was able to improve specificity by as much as 23%.
