Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer iCAD posted record fourth-quarter revenues for fiscal 2006, and saw a downturn in its net loss for the period (end-December 31).
The Nashua, NH-based company reported revenue of $6.4 million, a 5% increase compared with the $6.1 million in revenues reported in the fourth quarter of 2005. iCAD had a net loss of $1.4 million for the period, including a share-based compensation expense of $567,000, compared with a net loss of $1.8 million in the same period last year, which did not include any share-based compensation expenses, the company noted.
iCAD reported revenue for the year of $19.7 million, which the firm said is essentially even with the $19.8 million it posted for fiscal 2005.
Net loss for the year was $6.8 million, including a share-based compensation expense of $1.3 million, an increase compared with a net loss of $4.9 million in the prior year, which did not include any share-based compensation expense.
