AI start-up Aidence raises $2.5M in seed funding

Netherlands-based artificial intelligence (AI) firm Aidence has raised $2.5 million (2.25 million euros) in seed funding.

Investors include Northzone, HenQ, Health Innovation Fund, and medical specialists from the Haaglanden hospital group in The Hague.

Aidence applies deep learning to medical image interpretation, specifically x-ray, MR, and CT images. Its first application is for lung cancer, the company said.
