Big-data visualization software developer Zebra Medical Vision has launched AI1, a new service that charges $1 per scan for artificial intelligence (AI) analysis of medical imaging scans.
The deep-learning engine of AI1 is equipped to detect medical findings in imaging scans, including diseases of the liver, lung, cardiovascular system, and bone. After AI1 performs its automated analysis, radiologists can view a report containing the algorithm's findings directly in their hospitals' PACS and RIS networks. Additional features such as evaluations of breast cancer, lung cancer, and brain trauma will continue to be integrated into the service.
The low-cost, automated assistance of AI1 will promote comprehensive and high-quality reporting by radiologists, thus contributing to improved patient care, according to Zebra.
