The American College of Radiology (ACR) has named the first international institution to participate in its ACR Recognized Center for Healthcare-AI (ARCH‑AI) program for AI governance in radiology.
The addition of the University Hospital of Bern in Switzerland to the program expands ARCH-AI beyond the U.S. and underscores "growing global alignment around the need for structured, consistent oversight of medical imaging AI," the ACR said.
ARCH‑AI supports healthcare organizations to establish formal governance across the AI lifecycle -- from evaluation and adoption to ongoing clinical oversight, the ACR said.
