WebMD sets 2005 guidance, Stampiglia steps down

Healthcare technology provider WebMD expects consolidated revenue for 2005 to range from $1.22 billion to $1.26 billion.

The Elmwood, NJ-based firm said that income before taxes, noncash, and other items for 2005 is expected to be between $155 million and $173 million. WebMD estimated net income for 2005 at between $51 million and $61 million.

In other news, Andrew Corbin has been named interim president of Van Nuys, CA-based WebMD Practice Services, the firm's physician administrative, financial, and clinical software services business. Corbin will continue to serve as WebMD's CFO.

Corbin replaces Tom Stampiglia, who has served as president of WebMD Practice Services since April 2003. A search for a permanent replacement is under way, according to WebMD.
