Healthcare IT provider Misys Healthcare Systems has installed its Misys Insight clinical notification tool at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) sites in Zion, IL, and Tulsa, OK, and its Misys PACS Integration Module and Misys Image Management software at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center in Casa Grande, AZ.
The Misys Insight application at the CTCA locations is being used concurrently with the Misys Radiology RIS, according to the Tucson, AZ-based firm. In addition, the product provides electronic notifications of patients' admissions discharge transmission (ADT) information, lab results, radiology orders, and medication orders. These are sent to clinical personnel throughout the CTCA network, the company said.
The Casa Grande Regional Medical Center installation will be deployed through a strategic alliance with PACS firm eRad/Image Medical, and will involve the distribution of images to physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings using the Misys PACS Integration Module. The software will interface with the Misys Radiology RIS installed two years ago to process more than 70,000 diagnostic imaging examinations annually at the facility, Misys said.
