Multimodality vendor GE Healthcare of Waukesha, WI, has signed a deal to market and sell applications from medical software developer PatientKeeper. The products will be sold under the Centricity Physician Office Mobile brand name.
The mobile applications will enable physicians to simultaneously view a patient's electronic medical record, use clinical decision-support tools, and accurately record charges for medical treatments, GE said. The PatientKeeper platform provides application interoperability, context management, advanced security features, centralized browser-based administration, and reporting capabilities, according to PatientKeeper of Brighton, MA.
Centricity Mobile will be unveiled and demonstrated at the 2005 HIMSS conference this month in Dallas. It will initially include charge capture, with other applications being added over time. The offering will be available to both new and existing customers, GE said.
