Healthcare information systems provider Cerner of Kansas City, MO, reported record revenues and cash flow for its fiscal 2004 fourth quarter (end-January 1).
For the period, company posted total revenues of $248.2 million, a 9% increase compared with $227.4 million in the same period the year before. The company's net earnings for the quarter were $21.4 million, compared with $16.2 million in the same period of fiscal 2003.
For fiscal year 2004, the company's revenues increased 10% to $926.4 million, compared with $839.6 million in fiscal 2003. Cerner's net earnings for the year were $64.7 million, a solid gain compared to the $42.8 million in net income reported in 2003.
Cerner said it expects revenue in the first quarter of 2005 to be approximately $250 million to $255 million. For fiscal 2005, it expects revenue to be between $1.08 billion and $1.1 billion, which is up from the prior range of $1.01 billion to $1.03 billion, Cerner said.
