Eclipsys ups revenue, trims loss in Q4

Healthcare informatics firm Eclipsys of Boca Raton, FL, reported fiscal 2004 fourth-quarter revenues of $87.2 million, a 31.6% uptick compared with revenues of $66.3 million in the same quarter last year.

For the period (end-December 31), the company trimmed its losses to $2.9 million, a marked improvement from the $20.9 million in losses for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2003.

For the year, revenues were $309.1 million, a 21.4% gain compared with revenues of $254.7 million in 2003. Net loss for the year was $32.6 million, a 41.8% improvement compared with losses of $56 million in 2003.
