Multimodality vendor Siemens Medical Solutions and electronic medical record (EMR) firm NextGen Healthcare Information Systems have partnered on information technology development for the physician practice market.
The relationship will combine Siemens' expertise in enterprise IT systems and medical imaging technologies with NextGen's experience in the ambulatory EMR and practice management software market, according to Malvern, PA-based Siemens.
Under the terms of the agreement, Siemens will add NextGen EMR and practice management products to its portfolio. The deal also includes worldwide distribution rights in the diagnostic imaging center market, Siemens said.
