DALLAS - Healthcare information systems provider Cerner of Kansas City, MO, is spotlighting its unified RIS/PACS offering, RadNet RIS with ProVision PACS, at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society conference this week.
The product, which features a fully integrated history, scheduling, registration, and multimodality image interpretation system, was recently granted 510(k) marketing clearance by the Food and Drug Administration for diagnostic reads of full-field digital mammography (FFDM) images, according to Lester Patacsil, advisory solution specialist for the company.
A new QuickView feature provides the capability for an emergency room physician to provide a wet read on an image that a radiologist can review later for concurrence or differing diagnosis. The feature also tracks the diagnostic record of physicians using QuickView for educational and training purposes, the company said.
An integrated voice recognition module, powered by IBM's MedSpeak Radiology, is also available as an option with the RIS/PACS, as is an electronic dictation module, Cerner said.
