DALLAS - Agfa HealthCare is launching its Integration Services Portfolio at this week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting.
Integration Services Portfolio consists of what the firm calls EHR image enablement technology, as well as Enterprise Clinical Dashboard, Impax Master Patient Index (MPI), and desktop integration, according to the Mortsel, Belgium-based vendor.
EHR image enablement is designed to image-enable non-Agfa electronic health record networks, facilitating the viewing of Impax imaging studies in combination with relevant patient records, Agfa said. Enterprise Clinical Dashboard offers a unified presentation of electronic patient records and images residing on existing, standalone IT systems via a single Web interface, according to the vendor.
Impax MPI links and pre-fetches patient imaging studies across multiple hospital facility domains, allowing patient identifiers from multiple sites to be cross-referenced in order to present a single, unified view of the patient's images, Agfa said. The vendor said its desktop integration capabilities link Impax with third-party desktop applications such as speech recognition, dictation systems, and 3D imaging applications.
Agfa is also emphasizing its Security Services Roadmap in its booth, a security portfolio aimed at assisting IT managers in addressing security issues. Security Services Roadmap features a comprehensive HIPAA compliance assessment and documentation package.
The company has also released a white paper designed to educate referring physicians on the value of PACS. Prepared by First Consulting Group, the paper features a case study at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH.
