Barco receives FDA nods

Display provider Barco has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for its Colonscreen CT colonography software. The software is now cleared for use in the examination of symptomatic patients and the screening of asymptomatic patients for detecting colonic polyps, tumors, and other lesions, according to the Kortrijk, Belgium-based vendor.

In addition, Barco has received FDA clearance for its DICOM Theater Pro projection system, the flagship unit of Barco's DICOM Theater line.
