G2 to install speech technology at U.K. hospital

Dutch speech recognition provider G2 Speech has signed a deal to install its SpeechReport application at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Trust in the U.K.

The hospital will deploy SpeechReport as part of its implementation of speech recognition technology throughout the hospital network, which covers 1,500 users at nine locations. SpeechReport is based on a speech recognition engine developed by Philips Speech Recognition Systems of Vienna, Austria.
