Healthcare informatics firm Eclipsys of Boca Raton, FL, has released Sunrise Access Manager/Patient Financial Manager 11.5.
The application, which moves back-end billing office functions to the front end, allows the capture of as much as 75% of required billing information during scheduling, preregistration, and registration according to the firm.
The 11.5 release also features a simplified scheduling process, integrated document imaging capabilities, and enhanced secondary billing, which allows users to automatically pass coordination of benefit remittance data for a claim using the standardized Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) 835 remittance advice to the next payor's claims on a standardized EDI 837 claim form.
The Sunrise Access Manager/Patient Financial Manager release 11.5 also incorporates enhanced 835 reporting, which includes new reports to balance 835 remittance activity, and expanded reporting capabilities with support for industry-standard tools such as SQL queries, Microsoft Access, and Crystal Reports.
In related news, the vendor reported that Community General Hospital, a 356-bed community hospital in Syracuse, NY, will deploy its Sunrise Clinical Manager, an enterprise-wide electronic health record (EHR) product.
