National Medical acquires InStar, names Wellbank as CEO

Outpatient healthcare services provider National Medical Development of Bellevue, WA, has acquired RIS developer InStar Systems of Colorado Springs, CO.

Concurrent with the acquisition, National Medical named John Wellbank as InStar's CEO. He succeeds Richard Van Eaton, who will assume the post of chief operating officer. Wellbank most recently served as zone vice president for Philips Medical Systems.
